The Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Canberra invites applications for a full-time national officer position of

Senior Protection Officer

Applicants must have an advanced university degree in law, at least 10 years professional practice, experience in consultation and negotiation with state authorities and relevant experts about asylum and refugee protection issues with the objective of safeguarding international legal standards and ensuring the appropriate and effective influence of UNHCR on legislation and state policies with regard to refugees and other persons of concern.
