Soccer match & Cultural Festival, join former refugee communities for the kick-off of World Refugee Week. "The Refugee All Stars" & the "Wellington Invitation Team" will meet again for the annual soccer match (Refugee All Stars are the defending champions) there will also be cultural performances, food & awards at the Club rooms after wards.

Kick-off date/Time: Sunday 14th June - 10am.

Venue: Newtown Park.

Free Filmm Screening- Wellington Film Archive, this award winning documentary film tells the remarkable and life -affirmingstory of Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stor, a group of musicians who form a band while living in a West African refugee camp.

Date/Time. Saturday 20th June - 5pm.

Venue: Wellington Archive.

Auckland

Auckland Regional Schools Events, this event is organised by the Refugee Services & the Department of Labour, supported by Auckland City Council & the Ministry of Education. The event will feature students from refugee background to come together to acknowlege World Refugee Day. There also also be some performances by the Tampaplay group & a Kurdish high school group from South Auckland.
