World Refugee Day  2006

Every year on the 20 June, UNHCR salutes the indomitable spirit and courage of the world's refugees, giving them the encouragement, support and respect they deserve.

In 2006, we celebrate the indestructible hope which drives refugees to defy all odds in order to survive and, eventually to rebuild their lives.

If you'd like to mark World Refugee Day, get in touch with your local organisation working to help refugees or organise an event yourself and let us know your plans.  You can order free Hope campaign materials from our office.
