UNHCR now has a pilot of the Speakers' Bureau running in Melbourne. Our bureau is made up of former refugees living in Australia who are happy to volunteer their time and share their stories with Australians by coming to speak to clubs, community groups or schools.

The aim of the speakers’ bureau is help raise awareness and understanding about refugee issues in the Australian/New Zealand community through the telling of personal stories.

How to book:
1. To make a booking or discuss requirements, call the 'Speakers' Bureau Coordinator' on 02 6281 9108 or email aulcapi@unhcr.org
2. The Coordinator will send you a booking form (or you can print a form directly: click here)
3. On receipt of the form, the booking will be confirmed by email, mail or fax

If possible, we like to receive booking forms at least 2 weeks before the event.

If you are a former refugee and are interested in becoming one of our speakers, please email aulcapi@unhcr.org or phone UNHCR on 02 6281 9108.
